Basic Skills Coach
Maia Brown has 17 years experience on the ice. She has taught basic skills and pre-hockey group & private lessons to young skaters since 2005. Since then, she has worked to create opportunity for beginning skaters on Colorado's outdoor rinks. Maia has taught at WinterSkate the 2 seasons prior to joining C3. Maia is currently training the double jumps under Debbie Minter. She has tested her Junior MIF, Intermediate Freeskate, and 1st few Dances. She has performed in numerous ice shows as a featured soloist and synchro skater.
Maia holds the AA from FRCC and is currently a candidate for the Bachelor's in Japanese at CU Boulder. She has worked for Boulder Creek Events the last 3 years as an instructor as well as for Boulder Creek Festival. She has supervised the Helping Hands Volunteer Program. Maia competed in local & state events for several years and won the 2004 National Showcase Championships.
Maia is excited to be part of C3 Ice Academy and Boulder Figure Skating Club. She is in training to be a C3 Ice Academy Junior Staff Pro. She coaches learn to skate and is available for private lessons. Email us for more info & to schedule private or semi-private lessons with this pro.
